Week 4 - Water Intake

“WAT-ER” you up to this week?

During this week your goal is to drink 64 ounces of water per day 5 days out of the week (weekends included). Research has shown that consuming increased amounts of water daily may significantly lower risk for heart disease as a hydrated heart is able to pump blood easier and more efficiently. Learn more about the importance of water.

Weekly Tips:

  • Determine how large your water bottle is and keep track of how many times you refill your bottle daily. For example, if you utilize a 16oz water bottle you would need to drink and refill your bottle 4 times to meet your daily goal.

  • Set hourly timers throughout the day reminding you to drink your water.
  • Set timely goals for the day to keep yourself on track. For example, try to consume 32oz by 12:00pm (or halfway through your day) and another 32oz by 5pm.

  • Add fruits and herbs to your water to make it taste even better.
